THE pregnant Duchess of Cambridge was yesterday battling a return of the acute morning sickness that put her in hospital last week. St James’s Palace said the Duke of Cambridge would not be attending last night’s British Military Tournament at Earl’s Court, West London.
Kate’s setback is not thought to be linked to the suicide of nurse Jacintha Saldanha, fooled by a hoax phone call last week, which she put through to the hospital ward where Kate, 30, was being treated
But a spokesman said the tragic death of Jacintha, 46, had left the couple “deeply saddened
She is due to attend the premiere of The Hobbit film in Leicester Square, central London, on Wednesday. But sources said she is now unlikely to make it.
The spokesman said it was “well known” that the condition often recurs.
Prince William, 30, did join tennis legend Boris Becker at a gala for Centrepoint at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday.
